Oakland Unified School District Students Receive Backpacks and School Supplies
OAKLAND, Calif. (August 19, 2022) — SupplyBank.org and KTVU visited the Oakland Academy of Knowledge (OAK) to distribute backpacks and school supplies to all students on campus, made possible by a school supply drive.
Afterward, Alex Savidge spoke with SupplyBank.org’s Executive Director Benito Delgado-Olson, who explained how your donations can help provide school supplies for low-income children.
KTVU is partnering with SupplyBank.org again for this year’s back-to-school supply drive, which runs from July 12 to September 10.
The goal is to raise $50,000 to equip 2,500 Bay Area students with new supplies.
