A $770,000 public-private partnership funds distributions of infant formula across the state

State of California, SupplyBank.org, and Kaiser Permanente Increase Access to Infant Formula

CAMERON PARK, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2022) — Community partners have joined together to increase access to infant formula in California communities hit hard by recent supply shortages.

The California Department of Community Services and Development provided $416,00, and a grant from a Kaiser Permanente fund at the East Bay Community Foundation to SupplyBank.org provided another $350,000.

The combined support enabled SupplyBank.org to purchase more than 41,000 canisters of formula that will be distributed by Community Services Block Grant Agencies, Children and Families Commissions (First 5s)  and community based organizations in underserved communities throughout the state.

First 5 El Dorado will distribute 1,152 canisters of formula to families in need.
