Disaster Relief

During the last few years, SupplyBank.Org has received requests from several of our partner agencies to provide relief for people displaced by regional and localized disasters. Understanding this is a recurring need, SupplyBank.Org is collaborating with all partners to identify gaps in basic needs material assistance for individuals displaced by local and regional disasters.

Stakeholders we are engaging through 2019 include the Red Cross, the California Offices of Emergency Services (Cal-OES), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), counties, several nonprofits and other local organizations. The end goal is to identify gaps in the safety net as it relates to material needs during instances of localized and regional disasters.

As the engagement process continues and identifies specific needs, SupplyBank.Org will procure a substantial reserve for storage in our new distribution center. When assistance is requested, SupplyBank.Org will work with our network of 450 partner agencies to provide direct and timely relief where needed. Our initial feedback suggests home displacement kits, hygiene items, N-95 facemasks and other items are the most in demand, but these needs can vary with each disaster.

As our work continues, we will update this site. If you would like to contact us on our work in disaster relief, please email our agency through this form.
